DSN - Self-titled, Self-produced
I’m not sure what to make of this band. They have a bluesy, ethereal
sound that creeps into your soul and lays a subliminal message in
your brain. Christian Savage’s voice is sweet and smooth, no growl
or grunge here, yet you want to keep listening. Even with a solid
drumbeat from Wayne J and low, thumping bass from Curt Sissom,
this is not a hard rock sound. These songs will rest your ears from the
screaming often found in today’s harder music. Savage’s lyrics are
moody and there’s a sweet angst in the confessions of these songs.
Love is lost in "Rose" and "This and That," while hidden temptations
await in "Bottle Trees." Although not hard or heavy, this disc is worth
a listen to kick start your emotions. (Lee White)
